Another Milestone!

A couple weeks ago I watched as Millie rolled herself over from her back to her tummy, but she was not doing it with any regularity until now! When I put her down on her back she can almost instantly roll over to her tummy and that's all she wants to do! She wants so badly to get up and crawl somewhere, so it won't be long now until we're chasing her around. I'm so proud of her!

Hilton Head

Last week we took a family vacation to Hilton Head. It was the first time any of us had been there, but I must say, we'd love to go back! After sitting on the plane in Dallas for 2 1/2 hours before even taking off for our 2 hour flight, we were glad that Millie was one of the best kids on the plane! That whole experience was well worth the week we got to spend with our family and Tim's family. We already miss everyone dearly! The house we stayed in was gorgeous and right on the ocean. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the week (thanks to everyone for sending their pictures to me, thanks to the ocean and my clumsiness, I am the proud owner of a brand new camera, but missed a lot of opportunities to capture these moments on my own):

Future Best Friends

A cute picture of Jake and Amelia checking each other out:

And a video of us trying to get her to blow bubbles. She does it once and then spends the rest of the time trying to beat up daddy.

Niagara Falls

This past week I took Amelia to Niagara Falls to meet her great grandparents. To get there and home Millie and I had to take 4 flights, which was super stressful for me, but Millie actually did great and only cried for maybe 20 or 30 minutes total for all 4 flights. We met 'mammy' and 'pops' there too and everybody enjoyed the trip. Thanks to Uncle Greg for bringing over the baby swing, sheets and pack and play and to Uncle Gary for the cool Niagara Falls T-shirts and accessories, she will wear them with pride.

Here's a picture of 4 generations of Miller women:

Here's Amelia with her Great Grandma Miller:

And here she is with her Great Grandpa Miller (could they have been separated at birth?):

And with her Great Grandma Atkinson:

And her Great Grandpa Atkinson:

And finally with both Atkinson great grandparents:

The trip was a very special one!

Amarillo and a milestone!

This past week I had the brilliant idea of taking Millie up to Amarillo to visit her grandma and grandpa while Ty was out of town for the week. The trip started off horribly, 6 1/2 hours in the car with a screaming baby! Amelia couldn't seem to calm herself down and nobody was back there to help her, plus with the heat (107 degrees that day) I couldn't take her out of the car. I actually got pulled over twice for doing 80 in a 70 and both times the cop took one look at the situation and sent us on our way. Once we got there and got her calmed down (which took about another 2 hours, wow is she a sensitive baby!!) the trip actually turned out to be a huge success and a whole lot of fun. We started her on cereal, which she loved, not to mention it was hilarious! Here's a picture of her with Grandma right before the fun began:

And here's a picture of Millie after:

Grandma was actually nice enough to drive home with us so that I didn't have to endure the same excruciating trip twice. Here's a little video of grandma feeding Millie once we got home, so that you can get the full effect:

Amelia's first Fourth of July

Happy fourth of July everyone!! We dressed up Amelia in her 4th of July outfit and headed over to Uncle Josh's parents for the day. It was a great time, but a little overwhelming for Amelia, who had a meltdown on the way home.
